Veneers consist in applying a thin layer of esthetic restorative material on the anterior surface of the teeth. It is used to correct severe color changes that can`t be treated with whitening or poor tooth shape giving it a perfect appearance. This treatment usually requires no anesthesia and can be done in one session depending on the technique used.

Not all patients are amenable to be treated with veneers. Cases of severe tooth crowding or defects regarding dental arches may contraindicate this treatment. Nor is it advisable in certain patients with bruxism, and its duration depends on the patient's habits.
